Conference Information

MCEA Conference on Friday, October 10, 2008

Driving Directions
Here are driving directions to the conference. Baker College is located off I-75 at the University Drive exit (Exit #79). From the north, turn right off the exit ramp. Go across Opdyke, staying on University Dr. Shortly after crossing Opdyke, visitors will see the Baker College campus. Turn left into the parking lot, using either entranceway. The area where we will have the MCEA conference is at the west end. From the south, turn left off the exit ramp and follow the same directions from there.

Location
Baker College has only one building and the address is 1500 University Drive, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. The meeting will be held in the atrium, which is in the middle of the building. Attendees will want to park on the west end of the building, which is commonly called the admissions entrance, the second entrance to the parking light. (A brick electronic sign is there.)

Hotel Information
There are many hotels nearby. Crown Plaza is the closest one, but also nearby are ones listed here: http://www.michigan-hotels.org/cities/Auburn-Hills/. Any that are on Opdyke are the closest. If you want to reserve some rooms at a conference price, talk to Crown Plaza first. The Crown Plaza staff members work with Baker College a lot, so let them know that the conference is at Baker College.

Equipment & Technology
Every classroom at Baker College has its own media center, which includes a computer with PowerPoint and Internet access, as well as DVD ability. Baker College has not upgraded to Vista yet, but that is in process. Also, Baker College has overhead projectors in most classrooms, so if you want to use low technology, you can. We look forward to seeing you in October. Please let us know if you need other information. We attach a registration form.

Best wishes!

Sincerely,
Janet Heller, Program Chair & President
Anne G. Berggren, Program Chair & Vice-President
